This course provides an overview of project management practices for creative professionals interested in developing their business skills. Students are introduced to the five fundamental phases of a project’s life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing. The ten knowledge areas of project management will also be explored: integration, scope, quality, time, cost, risk, procurement, human resources, communications, and stakeholder management.
Upon successful completion of this course, students should have:
- Created a project plan that includes the scope and work breakdown structure
- Developed the project’s plan and schedule
- Estimated all costs and developed a cost baseline
