3 Courses Required

This certificate is for students interested in developing their Human-Centred Design skills. Students complete this program with three (3) core micro-credentials that identify and evaluate complex challenges and opportunities at the intersection of design, technology, and social theory. Students will define a problem or opportunity to focus on, develop a digital or physical prototype, and conduct user testing, implement design iterations, and complete the final stages of design and development before launching a new product. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. For online micro-credentials, students must complete and turn in all assigned materials.
  2. Instructors assess the student's work and issue a grade of pass or fail. Students must receive a passing grade in the micro-credential for it to qualify for the certificate.
  3. Students must complete three (3) distinct qualifying micro-credentials within two (2) years.
  4. Successfully completed micro-credentials can be applied towards one (1) certificate only.
  5. Students must register for the certificate program by clicking on the 'Apply Now' button. Registration can be done at any time before, during or after completing the requirements.
  6. The certificate is awarded when students complete all requirements within the prescribed time limit. The certificate can be downloaded as a printable PDF.
